Constituted in November 2025 the Reading Club, an initiative of The Library RJTCC, aims at promoting a strong reading culture among students and encouraging effective use of library resources.
In today’s fast-paced digital environment, the habit of reading plays a vital role in enhancing knowledge, improving language skills, developing critical thinking, and supporting overall academic growth. With this vision, the Reading Club has been formed to inspire students to reconnect with books, magazines, and other learning materials available in the library.
The Reading Club will also serve as a platform where students can develop an interest in reading beyond textbooks.

2026-27
The Reading Club organized a Treasure Hunt for Magazines on 21 July 2026 for T.Y.B.Com. students. The objective of the activity was introducing students to the wide range of magazines available in the library and encouraging reading habits through this engaging and interactive learning experience.
Over 50 students enthusiastically participated in the activity. They were divided into 12 groups, and each group was assigned a unique name. Every group received a different magazine selected from diverse subject areas such as Current Affairs, Travel, Automobiles, Photography, Fashion, and Lifestyle.
They were then given a questionnaire containing five carefully designed questions requiring them to explore the entire magazine thoroughly to find the answers. This encouraged them to read, observe, discuss, and understand the content rather than simply searching for specific information.
At the end of the activity, every group was asked to write a five-line review of the magazine they had explored. This exercise helped students analyze the magazine, share their opinions with teammates, and develop curiosity about other magazines available in the library.
Students actively participated, collaborated with their teammates, and showed great enthusiasm throughout the event. The overall response from the participants was excellent, fulfilling the Reading Club's objective of promoting library use and cultivating regular reading habits.
As announced earlier, the Reading Club selected the Best Group based on their overall performance. Since every group performed exceptionally well, it was a challenging task for the evaluation committee to finalize the winners. Finally, two groups were declared winners:
Team Pink: Meena Dharini, Prajapati Nirjala, Mistry Dwija, Parikh Achal
Team Lotus: Sunny, Lalita, Rhythm, Dhimahi, Pooja
The Reading Club congratulates both the winning teams and appreciates the enthusiastic participation and excellent teamwork of all the groups.
The activity was graced by the visit of Principal Dr. Chirag Trivedi, Preeti Ma'am, and Suchak Sir, who interacted with the students and motivated them throughout the event.
The Reading Club sincerely appreciates the valuable support of Deval Ma'am, Professor of Accountancy and Reading Club Member, whose enthusiastic involvement contributed significantly to the success of the programme. Special thanks are also extended to the volunteer team for their dedicated assistance and cooperation.
The Magazine Treasure Hunt concluded successfully, making library resources more familiar, accessible, and interesting for students while encouraging students to develop a lifelong reading habit.

The Reading Club RJTCC organised a Review Meet on 20th January 2026. The meet, in sync with the long-term objective of promoting reading habits and analytical and communication skills of students, saw more than 20 students participate in an engaging hour-long discussion. Some students presented reviews on selected books followed by responses of the other members. Students found this activity a platform for independent thinking, building communication skills and fostering collaborative learning
The programme held in the library saw inputs by the Principal and the mentors of the club.
