NCC

The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.

2026-27

  • The 80th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great pomp and patriotic fervour at the campus of R. J. Tibarwal Commerce College. The grand celebrations began with the National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets conducting the ceremonial parade showcasing majesty and discipline. The hoisting of the Tricolour by three brilliant students,Prutha, Aman and Sakshi,who have brought national pride to the institution in sports, academic and social activities added to the gravitas of the occasion .As soon as the flag unfurled the entire campus resonated with the powerful slogan of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and the rendition of the National Anthem.A special felicitation function for around 90 acknowledged bright students for their excellent academic and co-curricular performance during the year. The smooth running and flawless execution of this grand function was fully supported by dedicated National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers, who handled the crowd and operational logistics from behind the scenes.Cultural activities served as the main attraction, where students embodied ‘unity in diversity’ by donning traditional attires from different states, delivering inspiring speeches and singing melodious patriotic songs.

  • In the latter half of the programme, the gathering linked local traditions with national pride as students performed traditional Garba dance to the tunes of patriotic songs, followed by a celebratory breakfast together on campus.

  • Extending the spirit of freedom beyond the walls of the college, students demonstrated social responsibility by preparing special snack packets in collaboration with the 'Shivam Charitable Trust'. Various student teams visited underprivileged areas of the city, shared inspiring stories of India's freedom struggle and distributed food packets to experience the true 'joy of giving'.

  • The college authorities and trustees highly appreciated the students, disciplined NCC cadets and hardworking NSS volunteers for their outstanding patriotism, organizational excellence and deep commitment to community service.

2025-26

  • 15th November 2025
    A competition was organized by the 1 Guj BN NCC Unit of R. J. Tibrewal Commerce College to commemorate the completion of 150 years of the patriotic song Vande Mataram. The best three students were:
    1. Solanki Dhruvraj Jayendrasinh
    2. Vanzara Ravi Mangilal
    3. Chaudhari Himali Bipinbhai
    The event was judged by Prof. Manisha Shah, Head, Department of English and Communication Skills.
  • 30th November, NCC Cadets of R.J. Tibrewal Commerce College participated in the Adani Marathon 2025 (Run for Our Soldiers) through the 1 Guj BN NCC. The cadets competed in various categories, including the 5 km, 10 km, Half Marathon and Full Marathon and were honoured with shields in recognition of their commendable efforts.
  • 10 cadets of RJTCC NCC unit participated in the NCC Unity March featuring over 800 cadets on February 1 2026.
  • 6 cadets of NCC-RJTCC ran and finished the Shilp Aarambh Marathon at Gandhinagar on 22nd February
